Real Life Use Cases of Cryptography in Criminal Investigations It is a common thought that cryptography is so theoretical to understand, and so technical to defeat, that it can’t be done without enormous effort and technical prowess only found in State Agencies. That is not completely true. In fact, there are many cryptographic problems investigators routinely encounter that they think are insurmountable, but are not. Instead, with a systematic cryptographic analysis approach, investigators can overcome these issues with modest effort and cost-effective tools. This webinar will explain how to systematically approach cryptography. The presentation will focus on four common use cases facing criminal investigators that show both theoretical and practical applications of cryptography. Specifically, the examples will answer:
For each case, the speaker will provide a comprehensive view of systematic approaches; give a deeper dive into cryptographic tools for each in terms of key recovery, attack parts, and secure design perspectives; and explain what tools will make defeating encryption easier. Time will be left for Q&A. Presented by: All Contents Copyright © 2023
